JBL 4329 Studio Monitor All-in-One Streaming Speakers Launched

JBL's 4329P Studio Monitor is the brand's latest all-in-one speaker system and is currently being showcased at CES 2023.

The JBL 4329P Studio Monitor arrives hot on the heels of the 4305P we reviewed last year and promises to take listening to the next level with its step-up compression driver, larger 8-inch woofer, and twice the amplifier power than its smaller sibling.

The 4329P Studio Monitors boast "extensive wired and wireless connectivity options", built-in Digital Signal Processing and the US brand's iconic High-Definition Imaging (HDI) horn-loaded compression drivers.

Each active speaker is powered by a 300W amplifier that sends 250W to an 8-inch (20cm) paper cone woofer and 50W to a 1-inch (2.5cm) compression driver. The digital signal processor (DSP) assures each driver blends seamlessly to create a dynamic and immersive listening experience, states the parent brand, Harman Luxury Group.

Alongside the now-expected wi-fi and ethernet network capabilities, you get built-in Google Chromecast, Apple AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth 5.3 with aptX Adaptive audio.

The onboard DAC will decode up to 24-bit/192KHz hi-res audio and also supports MQA. Furthermore, the JBL 4329P is certified as Roon Ready, too.

If you want to go wired, there's plenty of choice around the rear, where you will find USB, optical and 3.5mm stereo inputs, as well as an XLR/ ¼-inch TRS phono input for use with balanced and unbalanced speakers.

The JBL 4329P will be available in a choice of natural walnut or black walnut furniture-grade wood veneer finish options in the second quarter of 2023 for £3,499/€3,999 per system pair.

applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
