MOFI STUDIODECK+ AND STUDIOPHONO GET THEIR GROOVE ON

Mobile Fidelity (MoFi) Electronics will be making an appearance at The Bristol Hi-Fi Show in Room 330 with its StudioDeck+ turntable.

MoFi is the hi-fi separates division of Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab, a record label specialising in the production of audiophile recordings. The company was founded in 1977 and is best known for its reissued vinyl LP records, compact discs, and Super Audio CDs.

That pro-studio engineering background is excellent news for those looking to purchase a MoFi turntable, cartridge, or phono preamplifier as they'll also benefit from that experience.

Karma AV will be showcasing MoFi’s StudioDeck+ turntable and StudioPhono phono stage, playing through Primare’s Prisma ensemble of I15 amp and CD15 player, and Falcon Acoustics’ recently acclaimed Studio 20 speakers.

The MoFi StudioDeck+ comes loaded with a StudioTracker cartridge and, although entry-level, the turntable design uses ingenuity and technology usually reserved for much more expensive products to unite high sound quality and value.

Additionally, the belt-drive turntable features a 10-inch MoFi Studio Tonearm, a 0.75-inch Delrin platter, isolated 300 RPM AC synchronous motor and anti-vibration feet on a satin black MDF/aluminium body.

StudioPhono Pre-Amp

MoFi StudioPhono

Developed by renowned engineer Tim de Paravicini, StudioPhono plays music with crystalline clarity and immersive realism.

The StudioPhono features selectable gain for use with MM or MC cartridges. Here you can choose from 40dB/46dB/60dB/66dB gain and adjustable loading 75 Ohm - 47 kOhms. There is also a switchable mono mode and subsonic filter.

applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
