NAD Electronics T 758 V3i Now Available

Canadian audio-video specialists NAD Electronics have refreshed their T 758 AV Receiver with a performance update.

The more affordable of the duo of AV Receivers that NAD Electronics offers today, the T 758 V3i includes Dolby Atmos, DTS Master Audio, BluOS high-res multi-room audio, Dirac Live, 4K UHD Video and Apple AirPlay 2, all built-in.

NAD prides itself on their 'simple is better' design philosophy. With the myriad of video and connectivity options crammed into many of today's AVRs, audio circuitry often comes as an afterthought. Not so with NAD, with both the T 758 V3i and the flagship T778 V3, both will satisfy audiophiles and home theatre enthusiasts alike.

Joe de Jesus, NAD's AV and Custom Installation Product Manager, told StereoNET:

NAD carefully evaluates how customers use our products and only includes the features that are essential for great audio and video performance. In addition, our Modular Design Construction feature offers the real benefit of being able to add new technologies as they become available, greatly enhancing the value proposition. So, with the T 758 V3i, we are excited to add AirPlay 2 to complement other key technologies such as Dolby Atmos, Dirac Live, 4K UHD Video and BluOS music streaming.

Support for High Res Audio formats including MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) are catered for with BluOS Player. The T 758 V3i also includes the latest digital video technology, including Ultra video at resolutions up to 3840x2160 pixels at 60 frames per second with 4:4:4 colour gamut and High Dynamic Range support.

Room and speaker optimisation come by way of the benchmark Dirac Live Room Correction software, which delivers optimised sound quality for your home theatre system. With the included microphone, Dirac Live measures the acoustic performance of the system and optimises the sound automatically.

Finally, the T 758 V3i houses BluOS wireless streaming technology, enabling you to stream lossless music from local libraries, tune in to Internet radio stations and access popular music streaming services all controlled from the BluOS Controller app. Also, the app enables you to group the receiver to other BluOS enabled components from NAD, Bluesound, DALI or Monitor Audio to create a whole home ecosystem.

The T 758 V3i is available now and sells for USD $1,499.

applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
