Out with the old and in with the new thanks to Bowers & Wilkins

Bowers & Wilkins rarely goes on sale, so its current 'Trade In - Trade Up' promotion presents a great way to get real savings.

For a limited time, you can trade-in your old stereo or home theatre speakers on new ones from one of the world's leading manufacturers.

Participating Bowers & Wilkins dealers across Australia are offering a guaranteed minimum trade-in amount for any old working speakers when they are traded on a new pair of selected B&W home or Custom speakers.

For example, if you purchase a pair of the range-topping 800 D3, as used by recording engineers at London's Abbey Road Studios, you will receive a $4,390 guaranteed minimum trade-in off the ticket price of $43,900. Your dealer may even offer a higher valuation on your trade-in, bringing the price down even further.

At the more affordable end of the range, if you purchase the recently released 3-way, 603 S2 Anniversary Edition that usually sells for $2,999, your trade-in will be worth a minimum of $300 – bringing the price down to $2,699.

The offer extends to over 50 different models from Bowers & Wilkins, including the latest 600 S2 Anniversary Edition range, the premium 700 Series 2 and the top-spec 800 D3 Series. The offer also extends to the popular Mini Theatre Series of 5.1 home theatre packages, ASW and DB Series active subwoofers plus 700 and 800 Series Custom Installation and Custom Theatre ranges.

A full list of models, including specifications, along with the location of the nearest participating dealers, can be found on the dedicated website.

If you needed any more incentive, anyone who takes advantage of the trade-in offer is eligible to enter the draw to win a pair of PX-7 Carbon Edition headphones, valued at $599.95. There are five pairs to be won – a set every two weeks of the promotion!

applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
