Qualio IQ Loudspeakers at Bristol Show 2023
The Qualio IQ open-baffle three-way loudspeakers make their UK debut at The Bristol Hi-Fi Show 2023 and, coming from the same people behind Cube Audio, will be very much worth hearing.
The Qualio IQ is a three-way open-baffle loudspeaker, pitched as being a more viable proposition while still retaining the designers' demands for high-quality acoustics. The promised result is high frequencies up to 31kHz, a lifelike midrange partnered with fast, tight and deep bass.
Coming from the team behind Cube Audio, you will undoubtedly expect something special. However, they have opted to use OEM parts for this design which helps keep the price down. That said, this looks far from being a cost-cutting exercise.
Here you will find components such as Satori drivers, Mundorf AMT tweeters and capacitors, high-quality air and ribbon coils, WTB pure copper terminals and other top-shelf components.
The semi-dipole placement of the Mundorf AMT super tweeter and the SB Acoustic Satori with Egyptian papyrus cone mid are said to provide "holographic openness and pinpoint imaging" alongside a rich, natural, effortless midrange with beautiful highs extending to 31 kHz. Meanwhile, the 9.5-inch Satori woofer, in a bass-reflex design, promises "dynamic and very deep bass" that extends way below 30 Hz.
The Qualio IQ loudspeaker can be purchased direct from the brand with prices starting at £4,980, including VAT.
