Russ Andrews Launches Clarity Pro 2.0 Field Generator

Russ Andrews' Clarity Pro 2.0 field generator promises to actively reduce noise and stray electromagnetic fields to benefit your audio system.
The Russ Andrews Clarity Pro 2.0 is the latest iteration of the popular 'field generator' products that utilise Coherence Technology, intending to significantly improve the performance of hi-fi and home cinema systems.
Not a mains filter in the traditional sense of the word, the Clarity Pro 2.0 traces its heritage back to the popular QRT Quantum products, introduced at the CES show in 2006 and superseded by the Clarity Pro. We are told that this new version continues to be developed in conjunction with the US-based inventors of the technology. The company adds that the circuit designed for the 2.0 version came about after extensive testing and cooperation between the two companies, refining and fine-tuning the circuit to give the best performance with a hi-fi or home cinema system.
The inventors of the technology state that the field generator increases the coherence of the ground plane to neutralise noise caused by discrepancies in time and amplitude on the ground. We are assured that the result is an audible improvement in the performance quality of the audio signals and, therefore, your ability to appreciate and gain greater enjoyment from the music.
The Clarity Pro 2.0 is supplied in a purpose-designed ABS case and should be positioned as close as possible to the hi-fi system, on a spare shelf on the rack or on top of components if there is room.
We are informed that the single control knob on the front of the unit can be used to adjust the strength of the effect. The manufacturer explains that "the Coherence Technology modules generate a pre-programmed field of a specific pattern and duration, with the adjustment controlling its strength. Tuning is done by ear, and the result will be correct when the music snaps into focus and sounds 'right'."
Clarity Pro 2.0 is powered by a 12V DC power supply supplied as standard. It can be ordered with the Russ Andrews-designed Supplier DC power supply for even better performance.
Available now direct from Russ Andrews Accessories with a 60-day money-back guarantee if not entirely satisfied, the Clarity Pro 2.0 is priced at £1,495, while Clarity Pro 2.0 with The Supplier DC costs £1,944.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
