Sennheiser Accentum Outperform Their Price Tag
Sennheiser's Accentum ANC wireless headphones boast a 50-hour battery, aptX HD and are the "most comfortable all-purpose wireless headphones yet".
Sennheiser's new Accentum headphones fill a space beneath the brand's Momentum range while satisfying needy consumers with "standout features and world-class sound for an impressive price point." At least, that's what Sennheiser hopes.
Christian Ern, Sennheiser Principal Product Manager, told StereoNET:
Accentum Wireless was developed to outperform their price tag, sharing much of the most desirable DNA of our award-winning Momentum 4.
Firstly, the specs do seem to stack up in the Accentum's favour, with 37mm dynamic drivers sitting in the sleek, understated earcups, Bluetooth 5.2 multipoint, and support for aptX and aptX HD codecs up to 24-bit/48kHz.
Furthermore, for those looking for some commuter-friendly cans, the Accentum comes packing hybrid Active Noise Cancelling tech with associated acoustics being "optimised for broad ANC performance". Senn says the headphones use a combination of passive isolation and covert microphones targeting both low and higher frequencies.
More good news for frequent fliers is that the Accentum will see you to your destination thanks to a claimed 50 hours of battery stamina per charge, depending on your listening habits. Additionally, plug the Accentum's USB-C cable into a power socket while you grab a coffee, and, in those ten minutes, the wireless headphones will convert that to up to five more hours of playback. Not good enough? Well, that USB-C cable also allows the affordable over-ears to become wired.
Clear hands-free calling comes by way of a pair of built-in mics complete with a wind-reduction mode combined with adjustable side-tone and advanced signal processing.
As for the four-button on-ear controls, the Sennheiser app enables you to assign custom functions to these, as well as allowing you to tweak the EQ settings, sound modes and ANC profiles.
The Sennheiser Accentum are available now in black, priced at £160/ €180, with a white version due to join them in November.
