Specialist Retail Distribution of Sonos Moves to Westan for Australia & New Zealand
Westan, the Victorian-based wholesaler of Epson and previous distributor of Polk Audio, has been appointed as the Specialist Distribution Partner for the Sonos brand in Australia and New Zealand.
In today's announcement, Richard O'Carroll, Senior Manager of Business Development for AVS and Installed Solutions across APAC, said:
Chosen from a broad range of proposals presented through a months-long vetting process, Westan was chosen for their relevant expertise, strong existing relationships in the AV sector, good financial position and cultural fit. With a growing Residential installation market, we were seeking a local partner who could add resources and expertise to our local Sonos team,
According to Sonos, Westan will assume direct management of 330 Specialist HiFi Stores and AV Integration businesses. It is expected the new distribution arrangement "will bring further success and expansion to Sonos' already strong and growing Specialist Channel."
Under the new agreement, Sonos will still retain a direct relationship with its current National Retail Partners.
Neither Sonos nor Westan has stated when precisely the new agreement comes into play.
