Wireworld Introduces 8K Fibre Optic HDMI Cable Range
Highly respected cable brand, Wireworld, has announced its first range of Fibre Optic HDMI 8K cables.
Wireworld says this new range of cables "utilises the highest quality laser modules and driver chips to improve image quality, providing long term reliability that Wireworld is famous for." Ensuring next-generation video application compatibility, the Stellar range supports 48Gbps data rate. Stellar supports all HDMI2.1 features and capabilities, including HDR10+, HDCP2.3, Ethernet, Enhanced ARC, Deep Colour, etc.
Conventional copper HDMI cables can only support 48Gbps signals over lengths of a few meters. By utilising fibre optic, long cable lengths can be achieved as required, for example, for a projector that is often located some distance from the AV components.

Stellar utilises world-class parts, materials and market-leading construction techniques. Stellar's laser modules are made by the American company II-VI, a leading supplier of lasers for the most demanding applications. Likewise, the driver chipset is produced by the German company, Silicon-Line, a leader in microchip technology.
The cable's four optical fibres are said to be "superior OM3 laser-optimised grade", while the cable's structure features double-thickness shields and several high strength Kevlar fibre bundles "for increased durability and freedom from interference".
The Stellar cables are offered in 5, 10, 15, 20 and 30m lengths ranging in price from AUD $1,099 to $1,699 RRP.
The new Wireworld Stellar Optic Fibre 8K HDMI cable range is available now and is covered by a 2-year limited Australian warranty.
