AUDIO ACTIVE TO DISTRIBUTE EMOTIVA

Following StereoNET's report last week that Final Link Audio had dumped the Australian distribution of Emotiva, Audio Active have announced they will be distributing the highly affordable brand locally.

Melbourne based distributors Audio Active have told StereoNET they were already in discussions with U.S. based Emotiva for some time, and are pleased to confirm they will add the brand to their portfolio which already includes leading brands including Paradigm, Luxman, Primare, Anthem, Tannoy and many more.

Paul Clarke, General Manager, Sales & Marketing for Audio Active told StereoNET:

It is with great pleasure and excitement we announce our appointment to distribute the range of Emotiva products in Australia. Our first order has just been placed and should arrive in a few months from now.

The brand has been an entry point into high quality two-channel and surround sound home cinemas for many customers around the globe.

Outgoing distributor Final Link claimed that "supply delays, poor communication and a recent decision by Emotiva to sell direct into the global marketplace" led them to cease distribution within Australia. StereoNET understands this is not in fact the case, and Audio Active have to date experienced first-class communication and their opening order has been filled in entirety.

If consumers were forced to purchase directly from the manufacturer's U.S website the high shipping costs dissolved the value proposition of buying Emotiva. However Audio Active's appointment and their buying power combined with a nationwide dealer network will no doubt see Emotiva become an attractive brand for consumers once more.

Clarke told StereoNET that plans are already in place to relaunch the brand via strong marketing campaigns and high levels of stock will be available.

Good news indeed for Emotiva fans.

applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
