Audiovector Now Available in US Through SSV Distribution Agreement

Danish loudspeaker icon Audiovector will be available in the US thanks to a new distribution agreement with Specialty Sound and Vision (SSV).

Ole Klifoth, Audiovector's founder, started the company in 1979 when he couldn't find loudspeakers that met his high standards. Since then, the brand has become highly acclaimed for its exceptional sound and build quality.

Although Ole still guides product design, today, his son Mads is the CEO and Owner of Audiovector. Under Mads' leadership, Audiovector has become a dominant international loudspeaker brand with distribution in more than 50 worldwide markets.

SSV was founded in 1996, and although the company initially represented a wide range of products in the NY Metro Market, the closure of brick-and-mortar dealerships during the "Great Recession" prompted SSV to focus on higher-end brands. The company's business model has evolved over the past two decades to include national brand representation of the most important "Ultra-Luxe" brands, sold exclusively through America's finest brick-and-mortar dealerships.

In addition to Audiovector, SSV manages sales and marketing of Gryphon Audio Designs, Brinkmann Audio, and many more across North America.

Anthony Chiarella, President of SSV, told StereoNET:

Audiovector is the perfect addition to SSV's National Brand Portfolio. The company's emphasis on ultimate performance, artisanal build quality and irresistible aesthetic beauty is ideal for Ultra-Luxe Dealers and their clients.

Available now, Audiovector's line of loudspeakers ranges from $1,725 to $76,500/pr MSRP and offers a virtually limitless assortment of finishes to match their customers' desires and decors.

applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
