BENQ GS1 PORTABLE PROJECTOR NOW AVAILABLE

BenQ's new GS1 Portable Projector is avaialble now and is the essential item for the glamper or outdoor entertainer. Whether it be your next outdoor escape, or Friday night movies out back, BenQ's GS1 is a portable 720p projector that is cable free and runs for up to 3 hours from the detachable, rechargeable battery pack.

Enjoy a 60" big screen from just 1m distance (and capable of up to 200"), be up and running in seconds with 'One Touch Setup'.

With a robust ribber case, the GS1 is splash proof, drop proof and can play from just about any source, including USB, or Bluetooth 4.0 streaming.

Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand and weighing less than 1kg, the battery pack (which also serves as a 3.7V, 16000mAh power bank) can be swapped out for another for those long movie marathons.

There's 5 dedicated modes of viewing, but Camping Mode speecifically offers slightly higher brightness than standard Movie Mode, making it a perfect fit for anywhere the ambient light is scarce.

BenQ GS1

It's smart too. BenQ's GS1 runs on Android and can also access Kodi, Plex and many other entertainment related Apps.

During an exclusive demonstration with BenQ earlier this year, StereoNET witnessed the GS1 paired with a 120" screen. While the demonstration was in a controlled cinema space, the GS1 is a highly capable portable unit that will keep everyone entertained for hours.

Watching a big screen in the bush or even outside on a warm summer night just became hassle free. With no wires or cables to contend with, that latest movie or streamed Mundine vs Green 3.0 fight just became a reality.

Available now, the BenQ GS1 Portable Projector sells for $999 RRP.

Put this one on your Xmas list now. For more information visit the BenQ brand page.

applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
