BIG SCREEN WALL ART FROM SAMSUNG

Samsung has today announced its second generation of The Frame, a TV that when not in use doubles as a mesmerising gallery of curated art.
Available in 43-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch models, Samsung's next generation comes with enhanced features, more customisation possibilities and a whole selection of images to choose from.
The Frame includes what Samsung refers to as the One Clear Connection cable, transmitting both power and AV data from the One Connect Box to the TV via a thin translucent cable.
Hass Mahdi, Head of Audio Visual, Samsung Electronics Australia, told StereoNET:
The Frame has been designed to fit harmoniously into every Australian home and has changed the way many Australians think about the role of their TV in the home,
The Frame tackles the long-standing issue of a big blank screen that appears when you turn your TV off. Instead, your TV can now display an incredible array of local and international artwork that will enhance the appearance and ambience of your home.
According to Samsung, its expanded 'Art Store' offers a diverse library of artwork for purchase from prominent museums, galleries and artists from around the world.
The Frame features a crisp and clear 4K screen with HDR10+ technology. There's a selection of three optional customisable bezel finishes including white, walnut and beige wood.
The 55-inch ($2,699 RRP) and 65-inch ($3,899 RRP) models are available now from Samsung, Harvey Norman and David Jones. The 43-inch ($1,799 RRP) model will be available in November 2018.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
