BOWERS & WILKINS 600-SERIES 7.2 SURROUND SOUND DEMO AT THE BRISTOL HI-FI SHOW

We have already let you know that Bowers & Wilkins will be showing off its new 600 Series at The Bristol Hi-Fi Show 2019. However, we have just been told that there will be a very special demo.

The Bowers & Wilkins 600 Series, one of the audio world's most successful and popular specialist speaker ranges, is celebrating its 24th anniversary and the launch of its sixth generation by taking on a starring role at the Bristol HiFi Show.

As well as the speaker demonstrations held in the Wallace Room on the ground floor of the show, you can also experience how the company's ‘True Sound' philosophy works for TVs via the Philips OLED+903 multi-award-winning set. The TV was created in close partnership with Philips and featuring a Bowers & Wilkins designed and manufactured 2.1 sound system.

However, one system to definitely check out is the 600 Series-based 7.2 multi-channel system, configured by the Bowers & Wilkins and What Hi-Fi? teams for the Bristol Show. The publication will be hosting the 7.2 system in their demo room.

The system will feature six 603 floor-standing speakers, the HTM6 dedicated centre channel speaker and two DB4S subwoofers – all combining to ensure a real not-to-be-missed audio experience.

It's all shaping up to be an excellent show for B&W this year.

applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
