DAVID JONES TARGETS LUXURY AUDIO & TECH

David Jones, the upmarket retailer who exited the AV channel opting instead to focus on appliances in 2016, has opened its new 'David Jones Technology' stores located within eight existing stores across Australia.
David Jones CEO David Thomas said:
We have created an entirely new experience for our customers which brings together the latest and best edit of audio-visual and technology in an interactive environment,
Blending technology and luxury audio, David Jones Technology opened on November 9th offering smartphones, TVs, headphones, tablets, smart home products, and multi-room audio solutions.
At launch, David Jones Technology is are ranging selected products from Apple, Sennheiser, Samsung, Bang & Olufsen, Audiopro, Naim, Devialet and Master & Dynamic.
David Jones head of audio-visual, Scott Sullivan added:
It’s more than just technology. Fashion is coming more and more into technology, with products often used as statement pieces in someone’s home.
The new stores will also focus heavily on the growing smart home market featuring Google Home.

The David Jones Technology offering will also enable customers to experience ‘connected home’ products such as Google Home and Google Mini in situ, with state-of-the-art concept rooms demonstrating the way technology integrates with home products such as lighting, weather systems, multi-room wireless speakers and TVs,
David Jones Technology stores are located at Market Street, Bondi Junction and Chatswood in Sydney; Bourke Street and Chadstone in Melbourne; QueensPlaza in Brisbane; Adelaide Central Plaza in Adelaide; and Hay Street in Perth.
The David Jones website currently reads, "Audiovisual is back. Explore our curated collection of premium technology, as well as our new service offerings and technology specialists ready to help from store to home."
