DENON INTRODUCES DRA-800H, IT’S FIRST STEREO NETWORK RECEIVER
Industry stalwart, Denon has its sights set on two-channel music enthusiasts with the introduction of its first stereo network receiver.
The DRA-800H, which sells for $1,299 RRP offers Denon's unique blend of detail, precision and power.
According to Denon, it features a high-performance pre-amp and power-amplifiers, with custom resistors and audiophile-grade capacitors to ensuring pristine fidelity.
Its double DAC circuitry boasts AKM AK4458 32-bit D/A converters and strictly selected components to reduce unwanted signal noise and achieve better audio quality.
The amplifier, which is rated at 100 watts per channel (8ohms, 20Hz-20kHz, THD: 0.08%, 2ch driven), employs a Left/Right symmetrical design with custom capacitors designed inhouse by Denon engineers.
The amplifier section also features an Oxygen-Free Copper (OFC) winding power transformer claimed to provide better tonal quality. This attention to detail gives the DRA-800H low impedance drive capability, offering "improved stability and compatibility with a wide range of speakers."
Connections abound with the DRA-800H with a dedicated phono input, Wi-Fi, digital inputs and five HDMI inputs and an HDMI output with ARC. Each of it's five HDMI inputs are HDCP 2.3 making the DRA-800H compatible with 4K Ultra HD video sources and support for HDR10, HLG, 3D, and BT.2020 pass-through.
Part of Denon's HEOS compatible family, owners can stream wireless music from a range of sources, including Spotify (Free and Premium), Deezer, TuneIn Internet Radio, Sound Cloud and Tidal. Voice control is also supported with compatibility with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple's Siri.
Not to be forgotten and rounding out the DRA-800H's capabilities is an FM/DAB+ radio.
The DRA-800H sells for $1,299 RRP and is available in Black finish from this month.
