DEVIALET NAMES AQIPA AS NEW AUSTRALIAN HOME

French luxury audio brand Devialet has announced Melbourne-based Aqipa as its new exclusive Australia and New Zealand distributor effective 31st March 2019.
Established distributors Interdyn gave up the brand in September 2018, with Sam Encel, Interdyn's Co-Director saying at the time:
This has been an incredibly difficult decision for us to make. We continue to love the products and have great respect for the company. We also know that many of you enjoy handling the product, so to voluntarily cease this relationship is hard for us both at a business and emotional level.
Interdyn has continued to provide after-sales support for Devialet customers and remained committed to an orderly transition to its future arrangements.
Interdyn Co-Director Evgeny Vizelman told StereoNET:
Interdyn supports the appointment of Aqipa for Devialet distribution in ANZ, and we wish them the best for future business.
It is understood Aqipa has established a new Hi-Fi business unit and will provide end-to-end support for all product lines including Phantom Premier, Phantom Reactor and Expert PRO, to existing and new Devialet retailers.
Christian Trapl, Aqipa GmbH CEO told StereoNET:
Devialet's passion for audio and proven track record of bringing premium, innovative and lifestyle product to the world of consumer electronics make them a perfect addition to our ANZ family. We are excited about this new partnership and look forward to taking the brand to the next level.
Devialet joins brands distributed by Aqipa in the local region such as Marshall, B&O, Master&Dynamic, Pure, and more. Aqipa GmbH is headquartered in Austria and has been established for more than 25 years. Aqipa Australia operates from state-of-the-art facilities in Victoria's Dandenong South.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
