ERZETICH AUDIO LAUNCHES TWO SPECIAL HEADPHONE MODELS

Slovenian boutique brand, Erzetich Audio, has announced two new limited series of their handcrafted headphones named the Phobos, and the Mania.
Erzetich made its name by producing well-respected headphone amplifiers. Now they are combining their knowledge of acoustics with crafting headphones using wooden cups.
Phobos features bold octagonal shaped earpieces. This not only creates an unmissable statement but also supports the planar magnetic drivers positioned in the cups. We are told to expect a detailed, firm, and dynamic sound resulting in a rich experience whether listening to classical or jazz music.
The second pair of headphones goes by the name Mania. These are aimed at those with a more eclectic taste in music. The internal geometry of the cups has been expertly crafted for maximum harmony. According to Erzetich, this makes them perfect for shifts in musical mood and tempo.
Blaz Erzetic, CEO of Erzetich Audio, told StereoNET UK:
Our company started with the boutique manufacturing of high-quality headphone amplifiers.
To expand our offer of personal audio we decided to move into the headphone space, ensuring we offer a complete headphone based setup. We’re immensely proud of the final results of both the Phobos and Mania and they capture just what the Erzetich Audio brand is about – premium sound quality without compromising on style.
We’re thrilled that we’ve been able to retain our working ethos with these two new additions too, using quality linden wood that’s handcrafted.
Coinciding with today's headphone releases, Erzetich Audio has also announced Dutch singer Anneke van Giersbergen as the brand’s first ambassador.
Both Phobos (1699 Euros) and Mania (1019 Euros) headphones are available to pre-order now.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
