EXCLUSIVE: INTERDYN BIDS FAREWELL TO DEVIALET

Interdyn, the Melbourne based importer and distributor of world-leading consumer audio and video brands has announced via email to its dealers this morning it will cease distributing French luxury audio brand, Devialet, in Australia and New Zealand.
According to the communication, Interdyn first witnessed the capabilities of the brand's Phantom speaker at CES in Las Vegas in 2014 and moved quickly to secure distribution.
While Interdyn has achieved excellent results and impressive market penetration across ANZ in just four years, Sam Encel, Director of Interdyn said:
This has been an incredibly difficult decision for us to make. We continue to love the products and have great respect for the company. We also know that many of you enjoy handling the product, so to voluntarily cease this relationship is hard for us both at a business and emotional level.
StereoNET understands that Interdyn was unable to agree on a mutually beneficial pricing strategy with the brand that would support its retail distribution network and allow the brand to continue to prosper.
Interdyn has also said that it will continue to provide after-sales support for Devialet customers and is "committed to an orderly transition to whatever future arrangements they may choose so that the brand has the best chance of success in the local market."
Interdyn will continue to support the brand and its local dealers while its remaining stock is sold and an alternative distributor is appointed.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
