Hegel Launches All New H190v Integrated Amplifier
Hegel says that at the core of their work lies a deep passion for music, driving us to build amplifiers tailored to all speaker types, musical genres, and usage scenarios.
With its newly announced H190v, they say they've "reached new heights in versatility, offering an array of features including streaming, DAC, headphone output, smart-home integration, and a top-of-the-line MM phono preamplifier. The H190v is designed to seamlessly integrate with virtually any audio source, ensuring you can enjoy your music just as you prefer.
Explained as an evolution of the classic H190 amplifier, the H190v builds upon the success of its best-selling product, with a perfect blend of power, refinement, and versatility. It's designed to cater to audiophiles seeking an all-in-one solution without compromise.
With 150W class AB power in 8 Ohms, a damping factor of 4000, and a large toroidal transformer paired with high-quality output transistors, this amplifier delivers power and precision in equal measure. The preamp and DAC section features a dedicated and improved power supply.
There's also phono input scaled down from Hegel's highly acclaimed V10 phono preamplifier, allowing users to connect turntables with MM cartridges directly to the amplifier. Headphone lovers have not been forgotten either, with a 6.3mm headphone output and a high-quality dedicated headphone amplifier. The H190v also supports AirPlay, Spotify Connect, Roon Ready, and DLNA/UPnP - multiple boxes be damned!
The Hegel H190v has been designed to be simple to use. For example, the volume can be limited to suit your maximum volume preference. With its remote-control feature, you can program the amplifier to be commanded by common TV remotes, eliminating the need for using two remotes. Most inputs can also be set as fixed high-level Home Theater input, making it easy to combine H190v with surround receivers or multi-room devices.
For more advanced users, H190v also features IP control for smart home integration with brands like Control4, Crestron, and Savant. It also offers a host of inputs and fixed and variable outputs for connecting external devices, such as subwoofers.
In a world moving away from racks full of components, the Hegel H190v makes its presence known. It's more than just an integrated amplifier; it's a complete audio solution. With a high-end DAC, an exceptional phono stage, a top-tier headphone output, and an array of streaming options, H190v is designed for those who crave more music, while keeping box counts to a minimum.
Available now in Black or White, the Hegel H190v sells for £3,250 RRP.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
