Nakymatone Invisible Speakers Now Available in Australia

One of the fastest growing audio-visual distributors right now, Sydney based Wavetrain Distribution, had announced exclusive distribution rights for the Canadian brand, Nakymatone in Australia and New Zealand.

Nakymatone has spent years developing their unique technology which integrates the speaker, back-box and protection device in-one, creating a faster more efficient installation with superior performance.

Scott Stidston, Wavetrain's Product Manager told StereoNET:

Nakymatone’s are the audiophile name in the invisible built-in speaker category. Their next generation fully enclosed design uses CRT, Controlled Resonance Technology, developed by Nakymatone, to recreate sound the same way a musical instrument does - such as a violin's sound board.

Nakymatone products are European designed and entirely manufactured in Canada. The point of difference to other products on the market, according to Stidston, "is the fact that an integral backbox
is part of the products full design".

Ceiling Installation with Nakymatone Speakers

Installation has been made easy thanks to a removable handle which is said to help neatly place and secure the speaker in position. Once installed, the technician then screws the speaker to ‘pull’ it flush to
the plasterboard for final skim in the same manner trade plasters are used to. There is no special training required.

Eric Nakkila, Vice President of Nakymatone said:

We are pleased to partner with Wavetrain to distribute Nakymatone, Wavetrain understands the value of quality products. Custom Integrators can now deploy amazing sound quality on all their projects in every room with every situation, with ease while pleasing the most discerning ears and eyes! We are proud to offer this high quality solution and provide peace of mind to the installer with a 10 year replacement warranty.

The current range consists of four models, each feature the acoustically tuned, closed-in back box cabinet. The advantage of this is that it not only eliminates sound bleeding into adjacent rooms but importantly the speaker leverages the backbox’s acoustical properties which is said to produce a much more pristine sound.

Wavetrain Distribution, a new division of the well-established Wavetrain Cinema business have shown considerable growth this year with the assignment of distribution rights to Meridian, Trinov, and more recently, Artnovion acoustic panels and solutio, within Australia and New Zealand.

Last month, Scott Stidston also joined the company as Brand Manager. Scott's previous employment was specialising in custom integration with Entertaining Environments, Synergy Custom, and prior to that Scott worked for many years with Rega in the U.K.

applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
