Rel Delivers All New Serie S Subs
REL says its completely new and totally transformed Serie S range of subwoofers represents the biggest leap forward in performance in the long history of REL's mid-sized class.
Having just landed in Australia, the new two models comprise the S/510 500 watt 10-inch subwoofer ($3,499 RRP), and S/812 800 watt 12-inch subwoofer ($4,499 RRP).
According to REL, numerous upgrades can be found inside and out, beginning with the stunning new cabinetry that is contrasted by subtle gunmetal grey badging. The sleek, modern styling is emphasised by the horizontal linearity, which helps to reduce the visual mass. The replacement of feet with ultra-stable rails cantilevers the main cabinet forward, allowing it to seemingly float in space.
The Serie S subwoofers take REL's compact-medium chassis concept to reference-like levels of performance and does so with style, power and incredible speed.
REL added that the new models deliver incredible levels of all 'round performance for both music and film sound, giving customers a taste of what the Reference models offer, but at a fraction of the cost.
Both new models are capable of wireless connection via the new AirShip ($549) module available soon.
