FLIP THROUGH YOUR RECORDS WITH EASE WITH THE TUI RECORD BROWSER

Soul to Sole Audio has introduced its TUI Record Browser, designed and manufactured in New Zealand. This rather smart looking unit will fit into any living room situation without looking out of place.
The TUI holds up to 100 LP's, though that would be quite tight for browsing. The designer recommends around 80 albums for good "flickability". It is narrow enough to fit in a small space and is designed to be expandable with single units bolting together to make as long a unit as you desire. Each TUI will come with connecting bolts and tools for future expansion.
Made from 20mm hand-oiled bamboo panels, the finish oils up to a lovely golden colour. The bamboo edge looks great compared to "normal" ply. It is a more expensive material but you end up with a much nicer looking product. The back of the browser features a 'Now Playing' slot so your current album or latest purchase can be displayed in all its glory.
The clever design using "tongue and groove" tabs and a "cam" locking system, is sent flat packed, is easily assembled in about 10 minutes and is apparently very strong when completed.
It sells in Australia for $695 including shipping.
Everything old is new again. All that's left now is for the K-tel Record Selector to make a comeback!
The TUI Record Browser will be on display at the 2018 Melbourne International Hi-Fi Show, October 12-14, at the Pullman Mercure Hotel in Albert Park. Tickets on sale now.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
