STORMAUDIO ANNOUNCES 20-CHANNEL AV PRE-PROCESSOR

The CEDIA Expo which starts in San Diego, California this week will see the wraps come off StormAudio's new ISP 3D.20 ELITE processor.
StormAudio's first 20 channel preamp/processor unit joins the brand’s existing lineup of 6 and 32 channel analog and digital preamp/processors and complements the brand's range of 8 and 16 channel amplifiers.
With 20 XLR outputs, the ISP 3D.20 ELITE has been designed for home cinemas featuring more than 16 channels, multiple subwoofers (up to five with independent control), or speaker configurations including Auro-3D, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X. It also features Dirac Live Room Calibration which has recently released a new Beta version promising a better user interface, easier setup and configuration.
Unique to StormAudio is its unique WebUI interface offering intuitive access, control and monitoring. StormAudio Support Manager, Chrisanne Rhodes, told StereoNET:
The interface is intuitive, offering setup from basic to the most advanced. Additionally, the installer can prepare the processor in as little as three clicks of their computer mouse, sparing them from the labor intensive setup and calibration requirements imposed by leading competitors’ processors.
StormAudio's ISP 3D.20 ELITE is also compatible with next-generation AudioVideoBridging (AVB) Speaker Integration offered by companies such as ASCENDO Immersive Audio.
According to Storm, AVB allows both the processor and each speaker to be connected via RJ45 cables to an AV-enabled network router that manages the audio routing, delivering real-time audio-video streams to the speakers over the Ethernet-based network.
As you would expect, the ISP 3D.20 ELITE features 7.2 HDMI, fully supports 4K video and HDMI 2.0 / HDCP2.2 and HDR.
StormAudio's ISP 3D.20 ELITE will feature this week at CEDIA in a joint StormAudio / Starke Sound Dolby Atmos 9.1.6 home theatre demonstration.
Built to order, delivery is around three weeks, and they sell in Australia for $23,500 RRP.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
