SYDNEY AUDIO CLUB CELEBRATES 10 YEARS

Audio clubs and societies around the world are a great place to mix with like-minded enthusiasts who understand our passion and interest in all things music and HiFi.
While the largest, The Los Angeles and Orange County Audio Society who are celebrating their 24th year this year and boast over 2,100 active members, it’s our own local clubs that deserve our support.
The Sydney Audio Club was established in 2007 to meet the needs of music lovers in NSW for a society focused on sharing the enjoyment of music reproduced through high quality audio equipment.
Our members include people from all walks of life, of different ages and backgrounds and with widely diverse musical interests. The values and principles on which the club was founded ensure that a welcoming, respectful, and appreciative culture pervades our Club functions.
With regular monthly meetings, guests from the industry presenting talks and product demonstrations, the $60 annual membership ($50 per year for subsequent years) is a small investment for the knowledge you’ll gain and the friendships that will be made.
To celebrate the club’s 10th anniversary they’re holding a Birthday Party from 1:00PM on Sunday 9th July 2017.
The festivities will take place at the club’s usual venue at the Epping Creative Centre, Dence Park - 26 Stanley Road, Epping.
There’s free entry for club members, but all guests are welcome for an affordable $5.00 entry fee which covers a BBQ and drinks.
Tom Waters, Sydney Audio Club President told StereoNET:
There will also be a free raffle and some RockWiz style track guessing, just for fun! We’ll also follow the party and meeting with some great audio gear and a presentation, this time from Henry Chen of Redefy Audio.
StereoNET will also be in attendance to help celebrate ten great years of the Sydney Audio Club.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
