SYNERGY AV BRINGS THE BIG SCREEN HOME WITH VIVITEK

Melbourne based AV distributor, Synergy Audio Visual, have announced their appointment as the national distributor for Vivitek projectors, a division of the global Delta Electronics company.
Focusing on their Home Cinema and Large Venue projectors, Vivitek’s line of digital projection is said to incorporate the latest innovations and technologies to deliver superior performance for customers.
The line-up will include both video and entertainment projectors for everyday use as well as projectors for the most demanding cinema installations.
Vivitek also offers a range of projectors for any fixed installation, large screen or rental project. Vivitek products are said to be equipped with easy installation features such as laser light sources or dual-lamp switching technology, interchangeable lenses and colour wheels together with native edge blending and warping options.
For home cinema use, the Vivitek HK2288 4K UHD DLP projector with HDR will sell locally for $5,999 RRP.
Like many other 4K projectors on the market today, purists will argue the HK2288 is technically not true, native UHD 4K. However, early reviews and feedback have been extremely positive of the picture quality and resolution of this projector with many claiming it's as good as any native UHD 4K equivalent projector, at a fraction of the cost.
Available in black or white, the powerful HK2288 is engineered with an energy efficient lamp that is said to last up to 4,000 hours (Dynamic Eco Mode).
Other features include Ultra HD 4K (3,840 x 2,160) resolution with a projected image size up to 327" (diagonal), HDR (High Dynamic Range Imaging), 2,000 ANSI lumens of brightness with a 50,000:1 contrast ratio, DLP® DarkChip3™ and BrilliantColor™ technologies for optimal black levels and vibrant color images, Six segment color wheel delivering outstanding reds, greens and blues reproduction, Built-in 10-watt speaker and audio out port.
Vivitek projectors will be available from selected retail outlets from August 2017.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
