Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Now in White

Launching in October last year, Bowers & Wilkins' updated Zeppelin enjoyed a technology makeover, some eight years after the original Zeppelin release. Never relenting in their endless pursuit of high-quality and high-performance audio and lifestyle products, Zeppelin Wireless will now also be available in white. The same impressive audio performance, with a contemporary new colour.
Geoff Matthews, CEO of B&W's Australian distributor Convoy, told StereoNET:
The Zeppelin Wireless has the same instantly recognisable silhouette as the original Zeppelin, but every element of the speaker has been redesigned to deliver superlative audio performance; once again redefining what is possible from a single speaker system.
This latest addition to the range has been created to appeal to palette purists and design enthusiasts who prefer a more neutral colour.
Like its counterpart, the Zeppelin Wireless white is fitted with five completely new drive units and features two Double Dome tweeters as found in Bowers & Wilkins award winning CM Series of Hi-Fi speakers, while the two-midrange drivers benefit from FST technology. This unique approach to drive unit design is also found in B&W's flagship 800 Series Diamond, which they say "also helps Zeppelin Wireless white deliver pristine, life like vocals and instruments."
As capable as it is beautiful, Zeppelin Wireless whites’ neutral colour and sweeping contours command aesthetic appreciation. The shape is not just by chance. It has been designed to produce the best sound while also visually appealing.
Zeppelin Wireless white is capable of creating room-filling sound from the bookshelf, or as a design centrepiece of a room. The improved sound quality from the updated Zeppelin Wireless creates an acoustic atmosphere that belies its size. For a one-box solution that defies expectations on sound, the Zeppelin Wireless white is as good seen as it is heard.
Zeppelin Wireless is available in black now, with the white colour available in late August for $999.95 RRP.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
